So I’ve been having a bit of a struggle with my ‘19 Smart Fortwo in the cold. After a recent charging session, I’m now getting this annoying "charging not possible" error, and the car won’t start at all. Anyone else run into this kind of issue when it’s chilly? Got any tips to get this thing back on track?

It’d be helpful to figure out what code(s) the car is showing, as sometimes simply clearing them can get everything back on track. If theres a local shop that can read and clear the code; that could be a quick fix. Otherwise, it might be worth investing in your own diagnostic tool so you can stay ahead of any issues!

I’d love to hear any updates! That could be really helpful for others dealing with the same issue.

These past few weeks have been brutal for EVs. I've been seeing reports of all kinds freezing up left and right. Maybe yours will come back to life once it thaws out, but that ain't much comfort when you're stuck out here in the cold. Did you figure this one out?

Whoops, sorry for the super late update, but I finally got the car to start again like 2 weeks ago! It was throwing a ton of error codes that were blocking it from starting, and honestly, I wouldn’t even know where to begin with all of them. But thankfully, I managed to clear the codes with the icarsoft MB II, and the car’s good to go! Phew!
