Hello community,

I’ve got this P0D1A13 code popping up on my 2013 Smart fortwo EV, and I think it’s got something to do with the high-voltage battery coolant control valve. Anybody else dealt with this weird issue? Got a clue on what parts I might need to swap out? Tbh I’m struggling to find much info on this code.

Nice one, @pinocchio_! I’ll totally give that a shot this weekend. If it doesn’t come back, guess I’m in the clear. But if it does... I’ll hit you up and let you know. Appreciate you, seriously!

I’ve seen a couple of similar posts on this code. It’s most often tied to the coolant control valve failing to open or close properly. Before swapping parts, you might want to inspect the cooling lines for any blockages. If everything looks clear, the valve is probably your culprit. Mercedes dealers can source the part, but I’d check online forums or EV specialty shops for a cheaper alternative.

Did you manage to solve it??

You should check out the valve and any related parts. If things seem off, replacing them might be your best bet. If you’re in doubt, a pro’s expertise could be a lifesaver!
