A friend of mine recently faced a situation where their 2016 Smart Car Electric Drive's battery died completely. No lights, no power, and the car couldn’t be shifted into neutral to move it. They’re looking for ideas on how to deal with this issue before calling a tow truck. Does anyone know if there’s a manual override or specific procedure to put the car into neutral when the battery is dead?

Yours has the 12V battery. In the older one, it's under the passenger seat. In the newer one, it's under the hood. You need that battery to start the car, even though it's electric.
