I ran into a similar issue with my Renault last year. Try contacting a Peugeot dealer in Canada, they might have better luck sourcing the part since Peugeot has more presence there than in the U.S. Also, have your technician check with parts brokers who specialize in importing for European models; they can usually get things like coolant pumps through their network. It might take a bit longer, but it’s a reliable route.
